Hi Phillip, and Effie and family and girlfriend of course. It's Romain, French guy with Japanese wife on honeymoon in September. Well, you gave us a pot to make Greek coffee in, you might remember, after displaying your skills at making it.
Anyway, I wanted to thank you again, even if it's been a while. The coffee pot was fantastically helpful in our next hotels in Santorini and Athens. There was a stove and we made all our neighbours jealous with the super coffee. I brought some coffee back from Greece and make some regularly at home, with great delight I must say. And I have a thought for you each time, your generosity and hospitality.
We hope to come back someday. Until then, take care. All the best, Romain

Thank you for letting us join in the celebrations on the 5thand making Don's birthday so special. We both had a lovely holiday and enjoyed spending time with you all. You have a lovely new bar and rooms and such a perfect setting. Hi Effie,
Just a quick hello from a freezing Sydney and to let you know that you've lived up to your name.  About 2 weeks ago I dreamt that Gerry and I were in Gennadi and staying with you.  It was an excellent dream - the kind that makes you very happy in the dream and a little sad when you wake.  And then I just checked my diary today and saw that it's exactly 1 year since we first turned up on your doorstep on our Vespa and bags. 
So it's a job well done effie- your in our dreams.  Hope the season is turning out well and that all is well with you, your family and the lovely town of Gennadi.

Καλησπερα Εφη, ελπιζω να με θυμασε, ειμαι ο Παναγιωτης που ημουν μεχρι πριν λιγο καιρο φανταρος εκει,στο Γενναδι.Εφυγα πολυ αποτομα και δεν προλαβα να σας χαιρετησω,δυο μερες πριν φυγω το εμαθα και δεν βγηκα καθολου εξω για ερθω να σας δω.Απο την μερα που κατεβηκα Αθηνα ομωσ ηθελα να στειλω ενα μυνημα τουλαχιστον να δω αν ειστε ολοι καλα.
Εγω ειμαι κοντα στο σπιτι μου επιτελους και σιγα σιγα περνα ο καιρος και θα απολυθω. Δεν περνα ουτε μια μερα ομως που να μην σκεφτομαι την Ροδο. Θα ηθελα να ειμαι εκει τωρα που ειναι καλοκαιρι κι οχι στην Αθηνα...
Anyway,ελπιζω να ειστε ολοι καλα και να περασετε ενα ακομα πολυ καλο καλοκαιρι...

We have just had a great two weeks at Effies Dreams. Food, drink and rooms all first class.   We have been going to Gennadi for over 20 years and are happy to say that every visit is better than the one before.  We were at the Reunion Party and shared lots of memories with old friends.  The old photos and the music were great too.  Tony and Colin said "Thanks for the Strongbow"  We did laugh cos we took friends who had never been there before and the church bells ringing early Sunday morning really gave them a fright.  We can't wait for our next visit.  Thanks for making our holiday an excellent time.  See you all soon.  Barbara and Tony (Birmingham) xx

Just thought I would drop you a line to say a BIG thank you to your Mum for her ‘witch doctor’ recipes’ that has helped make sure our holiday wasn’t a disaster.

I had a large abscess that the hospital at home were trying to treat with antibiotics and despite being in a lot of pain I was desperate to not miss our Holiday, when I arrived in Gennadi I could barely walk and the abscess was so swollen, then….Poppy to the rescue

Some bread, some Olive oil and some sugar and make a dough she said, lay it on the abscess overnight and it will help…………….Help I would say it was a miracle, it drew the abscess to a quarter of its size and took all the pain.

That’s amazing, no more antibiotics for me just give me a direct line to Poppy

Once again many thanks for this and of course everything you always do to make sure your guests come as guests and go away as family
