Emmanuel (father) cleans
around and does the gardening, more important look after the animals. Was born in Gennadi 1937 in the house we live
in now. When to Adelaide mid 50's where he met mum and married.
Poppy
(mother) does the cooking, chats to people about recepies & plants &
herbal . Was born
in Istrio a village 17 kilometers away from Gennadi, in mid 50's when to
Brisbane Qld.
Phillip (brother) is the barman, waiter, runs around
for all.
Effie (sister) general manager does the bookings, computers,
updates the web page & holds the books.
Phillip & Effie was born in Australia that's where they
finished their studies.
Eleni Soon to join the Family, helps around.
Eleni born in Rhodes makes silver jewelry, strings pearls and works with beads
and stones.
Between the 5
of us we speak Greek, English, Italian, German & Russian.
The
history of Effie's Dreams.
(more in the book I'm writing)
When we arrived to my dad's
village from Australia in 1987. I had meet same friends, local and a few
that came from main land Greece so we would get together and come up to the
local spring sit around and just sing. I would go home and say to my parents
its a dream world up there all it was trees the spring water and
noises from little animals. Only if there was a full moon it had light
but if not it was dark. 
Then dad hears that the land was for sale from Nastasi Pizimolas, so he got it and started to build mean while I had gone to the USA for operations that was to make me walk again, while I was away dad and my brother brought a old cafe bar and named it Effie's dreams as a surprise in November 1990 mean while our place was getting build slowly. September 1994 the Effie's dreams studios started to work. We still was at the old bar and this one was just a shell then in 1996 the lease ran out and to renew it, my uncle that owned the building from the old Effie's dreams wanted a lot so we left the place. September 1999 the new Effies dreams was finished and opened.
Alot of hard work from my parents, brother and me when into this place to make it what it is.
Do come and have your holidays with us, you will feel part of the family by the time you go. We are here to make a living but more important to make friends and enjoy life.
